Diving For A Cause has been invited to Tonga with our host Rob Torelli, of Blue Waters Explorer Ltd. a licensed and registered charter operation. This time the team will explore the outer islands in November. The DFAC leader Terry Maas and his team will be selectively targeting and spearfishing a diversity of pelagic fish. The reefs have produced sightings of blue marlin, sailfish, wahoo, dogtooth tuna, mahi mahi, amberjack and other prized species.

The Blue Waters Explorer Ltd. has three boats, with plenty of room on each boat for 6 divers, a captain, two experienced and trained guides in the water with you, and a photographer. These local guides are also trained as licensed whale swim guides. Tonga is one of the few places in the world where you are allowed to swim with the humpback whales ( assuming you are with a licensed operator).

As the divers spend 5 days spearfishing, their catch that is harvested is donated to the local needy families and children at the local church, International Christian Assembly. Our team of participants will serve the Tongan community with a full day of service, completing various projects at the local school and church, in cooperation with the local Tongan families.
